Not necessarily. It is important to me that all the work we do is together is 100% consensual, so you can always be in charge of the direction we dive into, as well as revoke consent at any moment.
That being said, you might experience uncomfortable emotions, due to the nature of this work. For example, if we are exploring a part of you that is containing fear or anger, sometimes in order to integrate an emotion – you need to feel it to heal it, and that might feel uncomfortable in some way. Emotions have feeling signatures within the body and some are pleasant and others unpleasant. During integration sessions, we strive to make space for all emotions, rather than cope with them or find ways to deny/suppress or disown them.
However, we are always going to work at a pace that is comfortable to you and you are always welcome to adjust the intensity at any point.
